Sheraldo Becker: ‘I decided to come to Osasuna because I believe this team and its style of play are a great fit for me.’ 

Sheraldo Becker was presented as a new player for Club Atlético Osasuna at a press conference held at El Sadar. The speedy forward spoke to the media and said: "I'm very happy to be here, I'm very excited and I'm really looking forward to playing for Osasuna. I spoke to Braulio and that made my decision easier. I have to say that, for me as a player, I have to look at what kind of footballer I am, and I decided to come to Osasuna because I think this team and the way they play fit very well with who I am. I saw how they play when they played against us, and I've watched many matches, and that's another reason why I decided to come."

‘I'm happy to be here’

Osasuna's new player was asked how he would describe himself on the pitch and explained: "I'm a footballer who has speed, technique and who tries to take advantage of spaces often during the game. I really like crossing balls into the box and I have a lot of energy, so I hope the fans enjoy it. I know that Osasuna's fans are very good; I've played here before with Real Sociedad and the atmosphere was incredible. I'm happy to be here.‘ ’It doesn't matter to me. I play on the right, I play on the left, I play in the middle. Before coming to Spain, I played for four and a half years with two strikers up front. I'll play wherever the manager needs me and I'll try to be ready for it," he added about his style of play.

Braulio: ‘Sheraldo makes us better’

At the presentation, Becker was accompanied by Braulio Vázquez, the club's sporting director, who was responsible for welcoming the footballer. "We are a team that makes very few signings; we are the team that has signed the fewest players in LaLiga, but we understand that Sheraldo's profile suited us very well because it gave us more tools, because the profile he has in the squad is only matched by Víctor Muñoz, and we believed it would make us better. It gives the manager more tools, and we had to take advantage of this opportunity. We contacted his entourage, and it's true that we couldn't match what the market was offering for his transfer, but once the transfer window closed and we still wanted that type of player because we felt we needed him, we went for him. We know a lot about him and we believe that his characteristics can add a lot to our team. We'd like to thank him for choosing us," said Braulio.
